Hi everyone, it’s Twilife.
I’m so glad that so many of you watched the room tour video of our “Overly Colorful 6-Tatami Room (Dopamine Decor)” that we recently posted on YouTube!
We received quite a few questions about the specific items we used, so today, I’m going to introduce all the interior pieces and decor goods featured in that video all at once.

The Main Characters That Define the Room’s Vibe
Yellow Voile Lace Curtains

These lace curtains have a delicious, sherbet-like color.
When the light filters through them, the entire room is softly bathed in a warm hue, instantly creating a magical atmosphere.
Even while we were still setting up the room, the moment we hung these curtains, the space completely transformed. I was so moved!
I love pairing them with our blinds.

Iron & Teak Display Shelf

An open rack where I display my favorite knick-knacks.
It was originally black, but I spray-painted it pink myself.
Because the shape is so simple and airy, even with a bold color, it doesn’t look cluttered and fits into the space adorably.
Lighting Items That Color the Space
Unique lighting fixtures are absolutely essential for creating a Dopamine Decor room.
Socket for Paper Shade

Hanging in the center of the room is a round paper shade lamp from HAY.
The socket we use with it is this ceramic one.
While many products are made of plastic or have a highly glossy finish, I finally found this ceramic socket with a muted matte texture.
Its understated, simple design perfectly complements the paper shade.

Philips Hue Smart Bulb

The bulb inside the pendant light is a Philips Hue smart bulb.
You can easily adjust the brightness and color from your smartphone. I set it to a crisp white while working, and a warm tone during relaxing times. Being able to change it to match my mood is incredibly convenient.
It links with Alexa, so I usually use voice commands to turn it on/off or switch modes.
Colorful Pendant Lights

These green and orange lights are hung from the duct rail.
Most pendant lights have black cords, but these have brown cords. They were quite hard to find, which makes me love them even more.

Wavy Pendant Light

This is another pendant light hung from the duct rail, from JOURNAL STANDARD FURNITURE.
Its chunky, wavy silhouette is very unique and serves as a fantastic accent piece for the space.
Philips Hue Lightstrip

A light strip that vibrantly colors the area around the desk.
Just like the light bulbs, we use Philips Hue for this.
Simply installing it as indirect lighting instantly gives the room a stylish, overseas-apartment vibe.
Neon Rope Light

This neon light boldly sweeps across the light blue wall.
It’s made of a soft material that can be bent freely, making it perfect for wall decoration.
A huge plus is that it comes with guides that allow you to install it even on walls without studs behind them.
I simulated the shape with a piece of twine before actually mounting it on the wall.

Disco Ball

When hit by sunlight or indoor lighting, this disco ball reflects sparkling particles of light all over the room.
It adds a playful touch and just looking at it puts me in a fun mood.
My niece was absolutely thrilled when she came over to visit! 🙂
Making the Workspace Comfortable
FlexiSpot Office Chair

The FlexiSpot desk chair we use alongside our white standing desk.
It’s very comfortable, preventing fatigue even during long hours of video editing or work, and because it’s made of mesh material, it doesn’t feel visually oppressive.
Since the room as a whole is very colorful, we intentionally chose white or ivory for large surface areas like the desk and chair so they wouldn’t clash.
Francfranc Electric Blanket

An essential item with a built-in heater for when I’m working or relaxing on the sofa.
The soft pink color perfectly matches the mint green wallpaper and the sofa area.
Francfranc Bomull Stool (Orange)

Another item from Francfranc.
I absolutely love the vibrant orange color and its chunky, rounded shape.
It acts as a handy spot to place things or as an ottoman when I want to stretch my legs.
Decor & Plants That Add Excitement
Yellow Faux Fur Cushion

A yellow cushion cover that we paired with our pink Ligne Roset sofa.
The fluffy fur texture adds warmth and a playful touch to the space.
Pink Wavy Art Board

Among the many pictures and accessories decorating our light blue wall, this Francfranc art board really stands out with a strong presence.
I highly recommend it because you can easily add a splash of glamour to your wall just by hanging it on a screw.
Each one is hand-painted by an artist, so it’s wonderful knowing that no two are exactly alike.

Wire Hanging Pot (Blue)

This is a light blue pot from the same brand.
The wire part can get tangled easily, so be careful when hanging it.
I feel like hanging pots made of different materials and in various colors really elevates that unique, one-of-a-kind Dopamine Decor room vibe.
