Ecovacs DEEBOT T90 Omni Review: The Perfect Robot Vacuum for Tiled Floors

Hi everyone, it’s Twilife.

Our main living area (LDK) was the space we obsessed over the most during our home build.
We designed this roughly 50-square-meter (approx. 540 sq. ft.) space to be completely flat and seamless, with no steps or thresholds.

To keep this expansive space clean every single day, we knew from the start that a robot vacuum was an absolute must-have.
After carefully comparing countless options, we chose the Ecovacs “DEEBOT T90 Omni.”

Our reliable cleaning partner.

Today, I’ll be sharing a detailed review of what we love about it after using it daily, a few minor points that caught our attention, and the differences between this model and the higher-end “Pro” version that we only learned about after buying it.

How We Use It & Our Daily Routine

We generally have it set to run automatically every night after we go to bed.
Our main living area features entirely tiled floors with no rugs. While we sleep, it thoroughly vacuums every corner of the 50-square-meter space and finishes up with mopping.

The extending mop pads don’t miss any gaps.

Waking up to noticeably sparkling clean floors every morning feels so incredibly good. It makes me realize “I’m so glad we bought this” every single day.

*Note: Since our home doesn’t have any steps or carpets that the robot vacuum needs to navigate over, we haven’t been able to test its obstacle-climbing abilities. Please keep that in mind!

What We Love About the T90 Omni

A Beautiful Design That Blends into the Space

When you think of robot vacuums, you usually picture glossy, plasticky surfaces or black designs that scream “tech gadget,” right?
However, both the main unit and the dock of the T90 Omni feature a warm, fabric-like embossed texture.

A fabric-like texture that blends into the interior.
The embossed finish gives it a solid, quality feel.

Because it has a matte finish without any gloss, it sometimes looks slightly beige depending on how the light hits it in the room, blending seamlessly with our plastered walls and tiled floors.
The fact that its beautiful design doesn’t create any visual noise, even when left out in the open, is honestly one of the biggest reasons we chose this model.

Incredible Suction Power & Roller-Style Mop

And it’s not just about looks; its cleaning performance is outstanding.
The first thing that surprised me was the sheer strength of its suction power.
Compared to the one we used previously, the difference in suction is night and day.

Comparing Suction Power in Its Price Range

While many typical high-end models from other brands offer suction power around 5,000 to 10,000Pa, the DEEBOT T90 Omni boasts an astonishing 30,000Pa, leaving the competition in the dust.
It gives us immense peace of mind knowing it thoroughly sucks up invisible fine dust and dirt trapped in the gaps of our tile grout.

Furthermore, the “mopping” function has been an absolute lifesaver in our home.
Since our main living area is entirely tiled, it tends to collect stuck-on messes like oil splatters and water drops from the kitchen. The T90 Omni scrubs them away perfectly.

Why “Roller-Style” is Recommended for Tile Floors

Robot vacuum mops can generally be divided into two types: “spinning (round pads)” and “roller-style.”

  • Spinning (Round Pads): Best suited for lightly wiping the floor as if stroking it.
  • Roller-Style (T90 Omni): It scrubs the floor vigorously by pressing a cylindrical roller against it while constantly supplying the mop with clean water.

Thanks to this roller style, it is incredibly effective against stubborn, stuck-on dirt on our tile floors. It’s been a huge help.

Smart AI & Quiet Operation

It smartly avoids furniture legs and houseplants.

Its ability to detect obstacles and walls is extremely high, meaning it absolutely never rams into our furniture.
Our previous iRobot Roomba (J7+) was the type that would lightly bump into an obstacle before avoiding it, and the “thump” sound was quite loud, so this was a truly welcome upgrade.

Partly because it doesn’t forcefully hit walls or furniture, its operation sound is surprisingly quiet.
Being able to run it in the middle of the night without it disturbing our sleep is a huge plus.
It’s also great knowing our precious plastered walls won’t get scratched.

You can see exactly where it’s cleaning at a glance.

The app is also very user-friendly. You can check its path in real-time, set no-go zones, divide areas, and perform pretty much any necessary operation intuitively.
You can even view live video from its camera via the app or steer it like a remote-controlled car, so I’m thinking it could double as a pet or baby monitor in the future.

In our house, when we want a deep clean, we use a custom mode: “Thorough Cleaning + Max Suction + Mop After Vacuuming” (takes about 2 hours). For daily cleaning, we use the mode where the AI automatically decides what to do (takes about 40 mins).

Easy Maintenance & The “Air Duster Combo”

Ease of daily maintenance is crucial for long-term use.
Removing and attaching the dirty water and clean water tanks is incredibly smooth and stress-free.
Furthermore, it washes the mop pads with high-temperature water at 75°C (167°F), keeping them hygienic and completely free of that awful damp smell.

Combining it with an air duster makes cleaning supremely easy.

Something I’ve really been loving lately is the “air duster combo” right before bed.
It might not sound like the most elegant lifestyle, but…
I use the air duster to quickly blow dust and debris off tables, shelves, and the gaps between houseplant pots where the robot vacuum can’t reach, right onto the floor. Then, I just leave all the vacuuming up to the robot.

I use this to blow out fallen leaves trapped deep in the gaps.

It saves me the trouble of gathering dust with a hand duster, making cleaning those tricky little spots drastically easier.

A Minor Thing That Caught Our Attention

While we currently have zero complaints regarding functionality or design, if I had to nitpick one thing, it would be the “voice.”
The Japanese voice that automatically plays when it starts cleaning sounds exactly like a Korean actor playing a Japanese person in a K-drama! If you watch Korean dramas, you’d instantly recognize the intonation.
Since Ecovacs is a Chinese company, it left us scratching our heads wondering, “Why this specific intonation?”

What’s the Difference Between T90 and T90 Pro Omni?

Actually, we only found out about the existence of a higher-end model, the “T90 Pro Omni,” after we had already bought ours.
I panicked a little at first, but after researching the differences, I was relieved to conclude, “The standard T90 is more than enough for our home!”

4 Differences Between T90 and Pro

The following 4 features are exclusively available on the Pro model:

  • Auto-dispensing mop cleaning solution
  • Proprietary voice assistant
  • Fast charging
  • Two-way voice communication

The auto-dispensing cleaning solution sounds convenient, but the dedicated solution requires ongoing running costs. Besides, thanks to the high-temperature washing and roller-style mop, just wiping with water gets it plenty clean.
Also, since it automatically cleans at night every day, fast charging, a built-in voice assistant, and voice communication were completely unnecessary for our lifestyle.

The price difference at retail is about 10,000 JPY, but by utilizing sales and discount coupons on sites like Yahoo! Shopping, you can often get the standard T90 at a significantly better effective price. Personally, considering the cost-performance, we are highly satisfied with the T90.

Conclusion

The happiness of living with sparkling floors every day.

Today, I introduced our home’s robot vacuum, the Ecovacs DEEBOT T90 Omni.
A beautiful design that creates no visual noise, uncompromised cleaning power, and high maintainability that reduces our daily chores.
It has become the ultimate assistant in keeping our home pristine.

I hope this helps even a little bit for anyone struggling to choose a robot vacuum.
Thank you so much for reading to the end.
