Hi everyone, it’s Twilife.
Ever since we started building our house, I’ve fallen completely down the rabbit hole of colorful interiors.
Right now, my absolute obsession is “Dopamine Decor.”
I’m slowly but surely collecting colorful, joy-sparking items to create a workspace that energizes me just by looking at it.
I’ve also shared the process of decorating this room in the video below!
Hunting for Dream Interior Pieces
The truth is, it’s actually quite rare to stumble upon highly unique and colorful interior items in physical stores here.
Until recently, my days consisted of endlessly scrolling through Amazon and Rakuten, waiting for something to catch my eye.
But the other day, I finally visited an absolute dream of a store. It was such a paradise for Dopamine Decor lovers that I honestly wondered if I had died and gone to heaven!

The store is called “upstairs outdoor living,” located on the 2nd floor of the “GINZA innit” building, just a 5-minute walk from Exit A3 of Ginza Station in Tokyo.

The moment you walk through the first-floor cafe and head up the stairs…
you are greeted by an incredible space packed tightly with colorful interior goods.

I was so moved to see rows upon rows of items right in front of me that I thought I could only find by traveling overseas.
They have more than just colorful knick-knacks; there are industrial-style planters, vibrant houseplants, and even sofas and tables.
It’s a space where any interior design lover could easily lose track of time.
Brands That Stole My Heart
As I took my time browsing the store, I had so many joyful encounters with items I had previously only admired through a screen.
My Absolute Favorite: &klevering
First up is my absolute favorite brand, &klevering.

Hailing from Amsterdam, their signature “wavy” curves and perfectly soft pastel colors are simply irresistible.
I finally got to see the marshmallow pillar I had been dreaming of in person.
The most surprising thing about seeing them in person was their scale.
The trinket boxes and planters were much more substantial than they appeared online, giving them enough presence to be the focal point of any room.
It really reaffirmed how important it is to see things with your own eyes.
After much agonizing, I decided to take home this beautiful purple wavy photo frame.

A Playful Brand from Paris
Over in the new arrivals section, items from the Parisian brand fluid market completely stole my heart.

I fell in love at first sight with this pasta-shaped flower vase; it was just too cute.
I decided on the spot that I absolutely had to take it home.

They also had pieces shaped like croissants and loaves of bread. I seriously thought, “I want it all!”
Playful designs like these really inject a sense of excitement into everyday life.
The Pop-Art Vibes of HOME STUDYO
Next is a highly unique planter that looks exactly like it’s made out of inflated vinyl.

The crisp, primary colors are gorgeous, and it looks like it would instantly make any room feel brighter and more “pop.”
A Fateful Encounter with Que Rico
And then there’s the Belgian brand Que Rico.
The shelves were lined with vibrant designs that just make you happy looking at them.

Ever since I saw them online, I had been imagining lining up a bunch of their palm-sized planters…
But to my surprise, I stumbled upon an extra-large size planter at this store!

Overwhelming presence, a unique wavy design, and the absolute perfect color palette.
Even though I haven’t even decided what plant to put in it yet, my intuition screamed, “If I don’t buy this, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life!”
Before I knew it, I had decided to buy it.
My next fun task will be hunting for the perfect plant to pair with this beauty.
・A Space to Shop at Your Own Pace
The staff weren’t overly pushy, allowing me to relax and browse. When I did ask a question, they were incredibly kind and helpful, and they even happily agreed to let me take photos.
・Convenient Delivery Service for Large Items
I ended up buying a massive planter on a whim, but they offer free shipping on purchases over 11,000 JPY. Being able to head home without lugging heavy bags was a huge relief.
Taking a Breather at the Cafe
After exhausting my brain with tough choices and fully enjoying my shopping spree, I decided to cool down at the 1st-floor cafe, “IZAMESHI.”

The cafe is beautifully decorated with houseplants and planters from the shop upstairs. While enjoying some delicious sweets, my imagination ran wild thinking, “Where should I put that planter?”

Because I had other plans later that day, I just ordered some milk gelato.
My body was running a bit hot from the excitement of shopping, and the milky sweetness was exactly what I needed.
Conclusion
Paris, Belgium, the Netherlands.
Packed with cute, highly unique items from all over the world, this store has truly become a special “power spot” for me.
I definitely plan to visit regularly whenever I need to hunt for a little treat for myself.
If you are ever in Tokyo looking for colorful interiors or unique plants, I highly recommend checking it out!
I’ll be sure to share how I styled the items I brought home today in future videos and blog posts!
